Semdial 2026 – LuffDial, the 30th Workshop on the Semantics and Pragmatics of Dialogue will take place in Loughborough, UK from September 3–4, 2026 at Loughborough University.

LuffDial

Loughborough University is a hub for interactional research on dialogue, pragmatics, and language-in-use. LuffDial will be hosted by the Discourse And Rhetoric Group (DARG), founded in 1987 to promote interdisciplinary research in discourse analysis, applied conversation analysis, and discursive psychology. While there is no theme for Semdial 2026 - LuffDial, work on conversation and the interactional side of pragmatics and dialogue will be enthusiastically received by the Loughborough contingent.
